Maintenance

Warranty & Maintenance

Our typical warranty period is 3 years for air conditioning systems, however on some systems this can be extended to 5 years. Please ask for full warranty details. Maintenance contracts are offered on all air conditioning and refrigeration systems installed by ourselves (or others). This ensures our customers continue to maximise every benefit from their investment and also ensures they operate as efficiently as the day they were installed. Individual contracts can vary from one visit per year, to multiple visits. Emergency call out cover can also be built-in to any contract. Service and breakdown call-outs can be carried out on non-maintenance equipment, with work charged on a time and materials basis.

Emergency Call Outs

Here at GM Bailey we have a team of in house engineers, constantly on call and ready to respond quickly to all of your refrigeration & air conditioning issues and break downs.

If your refrigeration equipment has broken down or requires a routine service then please telephone our service team on 01993 841531 for details of our call out charges and to book an engineer.

Maintenance Plans

Many of our customers prefer to take a preventative approach to issues with their refrigeration and air conditioning equipment.

If you would like further information on our range of preventative maintenance plans for refrigeration equipment then please telephone 01993 841531.

How long could your business survive without fridges, freezers or air conditioning? How much stock and/or custom do you stand to loose in the event of a breakdown? Make sure that you are covered by one of GM Bailey’s Maintenance Plans for added peace of mind.

Please remember that the EU F-gas Regulations make it a legal requirement for you to ensure that your refrigeration & air conditioning equipment is inspected regularly by a qualified engineer (see below for more details).

The European Union’s F-gas Regulation

Did you know that depending on the type of refrigeration equipment you use, you could be legally obliged to have it maintained by a qualified refrigeration engineer up to once every 6 months.

The European Union’s F-gas Regulation No 842/2006 became law on 4 July 2006. This imposes obligations on “operators” of refrigeration and air conditioning equipment. F gases include HFCs, which are the most common refrigerants in use today. The Regulation aims to minimise emissions of these gases, which affect global warming if they escape into the air. A maintenance agreement with GM Bailey will ensure that you are complying with these regulations through thorough checks of your F-gas equipment. The F-gas regulations state that operators of equipment with 3kg or more of F-gases must have the system checked at least annually, this interval goes up to once every six months for applications with 30kg or more of F-gases. Other obligations that you must adhere to include the “prevention of leakage and the repair of leaks as soon as possible”, “arranging proper refrigerant recovery by certified personnel”, “maintaining records of refrigerants and of servicing”. GM Bailey can help you comply with all the legislation. For more information on the F-gas Regulations and how they affect you then please ask for our leaflet “F-Gas Regulations and how they affect operators of Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Equipment”.
